INTEC GmbH has now carried out a lift controller modernisation according to EN81-20/50 for the first time.
The essential new requirements of the EN81-20/50 are met by the lift controller without any hardware changes. Many of the requirements are realized by adaptions in the controller software, other new regulations require external components, which are coupled with the lift control via input/output functions.
The lift controller MLC 8000 is already ideally equipped for the further inexpensive way of modernisation of lift controllers by changing exclusively the electronic controller components. INTEC GmbH will clarify which requirements in accordance with EN81-20/50 will be necessary to continue this way of lift controller modernisation after the end of the transition period on September 1, 2017.
